Wheatfield

Here I used the 4B pencil again and leaned on the side of it to make heavy marks. These massive forms are all over Degas landscapes. Big rocks and cliffs and wads of hills.

Love these drawings, Suzanne; you way with a pencil is somehow reminiscent of how you handle paint ... I'm not familiar with Renoir's landscapes; they are beautiful!
