Rockwood Pottery Plaque


I set my drawing students to copy the painting on this Rockwood Pottery plaque at Cheekwood last Wednesday as a value and composition study before we looked out at the actual landscape. I made my effort in a favorite little sketch book and rather like it.

Whale

After I read the Supreme Court's decision supporting the Navy's use of Sonar — Whales, Dolphins and every living thing in the oceans be damned, I turned around and drew this blue whale.
